Certificates & Compliances.

With the rise of adulterated Darjeeling teas blended with leaf from other regions, the licences are what tell them apart. The Tea Board of India certifies our house to buy Darjeeling tea, to sell it under the name, and to carry the India Tea Logo. The Darjeeling GI certification mark is used under our own certified trade mark licence. Every House of Amranth tea is sourced fresh from the garden.

What certifications does House of Amranth hold?

Seven, held by the house itself: two ISO certifications — ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018; three licences — FSSAI, the Tea Board of India Buyer Licence and the Tea Board of India Exporter Licence (RCMC); the Darjeeling GI authorisation; and the India Tea Logo. The packing partner’s facility holds its own, listed separately below.

Who packs House of Amranth tea?

Processing and packing is carried out through a partner facility, not in-house. The facility is USFDA-registered and HACCP-certified. Its name is not published on this page; the certifications are cited without it. House of Amranth’s own certifications — the GI authorisation, FSSAI licence and ISO standards — sit with the house.
