From a Single Hillside

The story of this tea.

Green tea from Darjeeling is an uncommon thing — these hills built their name on black tea, and green is made here only in small, deliberate lots. The leaf is fixed with heat soon after plucking, so oxidation never begins and the leaf keeps the taste of the living garden.

Because the leaf is whole and the altitude is high, it drinks unlike lowland greens: clean and vegetal, but with a mountain softness and a natural sweetness in place of bitterness. Brewed cooler and briefly, it is the freshest cup in the collection.

Fresh grass and steamed greens with a soft, sweet middle — the hillside before the season has touched it.
